Elizabeth was starting up a new business and was searching for a desk that would fit her home office.  The space was limited and therefore had to be made to specific dimensions to suite the space it was going to live in.  As well, she didn’t want it to be a typical desk.

After searching Ikea etc… she decided to have one made with us here at Aether.  The process was interesting as we arrived at a desk that ticks the design criteria boxes as well as ‘looks’ like something she loves.

The overall design approach was ‘open’.  To achieve that we limited the amount of wood used as it lends an organic feel to the metal but doesn’t overtake it.  The metal base is a very simple design using different dimensions of steel tube.  We added a glass top to allow light to move, as well, allow sight lines to the new wood floor she had installed.

In the end it turned out very well and gets lots of use daily at INSITE Life Coaching.  Thank you, Elizabeth for allowing us to be part of your new venture & journey.
